Outgoing Scholarships are available to tenants or employed barristers of each of the Inns up to seven years’ practice as a barrister (not including pupillage). Placement last for 6-12 weeks, but arrangements are necessarily dependent on what is suitable to the host firm. It should be stressed that, whilst offering opportunities for travel within the country to be visited, a Pegasus Scholarship should not be regarded as a holiday. Pegasus scholars are expected by their host firm to play a full part in the practice of the firm. The experience is unlikely to be mutually worthwhile unless the scholar throws themself wholeheartedly into the work.
