International

The Inner Temple has always welcomed as members aspiring barristers from around the world, and who are attracted by the highest standards of specialist advocacy training, ethics and commitment to the Rule of Law at the Bar of England and Wales.

Many members from overseas who have completed their study at the Bar return to their home jurisdictions where they pursue successful careers in the law, in government and in other professions. In turn, a significant and increasing proportion of UK-based barrister members of the Inn have an international practice because of the tremendous opportunities available to them in all areas of specialism.

International Committee

The Inner Temple’s international work is co-ordinated by the International Committee, chaired by Kieron Beal KC. The Inn also has an International Circuit, which welcomes members who have an interest in international practise and would like to share ideas on how the Inn can progress the circuit and activities it can undertake.
